Liverpool Humiliated Manchester United with 0-5 Scoreline at Old Trafford

Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick, and Paul Pogba were sent off as Liverpool thrashed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s insipid Manchester United 5-0 at Old Trafford.

Liverpool humiliated their fierce rivals, piling further pressure on Solskjaer’s Red Devils, while Jurgen Klopp celebrated his 200th win as manager of the Merseyside club in a spectacular way.

Salah completed his hat-trick early in the second half, bringing his season tally to 15, before being sent out for a reckless tackle on Keita.

Salah has now scored in 10 consecutive games, and Liverpool is undefeated in 21 games, while United is in chaos following the most humiliating of defeats in their own home.

After being put in by Salah, Keita took advantage of sloppy defense to glide past David de Gea with his right foot.

That strike in the fifth minute was the Reds’ first in the Premier League at Old Trafford, and they didn’t have to wait long for a second, Trent Alexander-cross Arnold’s providing Jota a tap-in after a mix-up between Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.

Liverpool, who were already missing injured Fabinho, lost James Milner midway through the first half, but Salah put them out of sight with a double before the interval after Alisson had denied Mason Greenwood.

The hapless Red Devils were all over the place, and the ruthless Egypt striker made them pay, finishing with his right foot after being picked up by Keita and tucking home with his left from close range just before the halftime whistle, which was met with loud boos.

Salah completed his triple five minutes into the second half, rushing onto Jordan Henderson’s brilliant ball and past De Gea with a perfect left-foot finish after Cristiano Ronaldo had a goal ruled out for offside.

United’s day took a turn for the worse when Pogba was sent off for a reckless lunge on Keita after being awarded a yellow card on the hour mark.

Keita was unable to continue, and the United players appear to prefer not to, as only a superb stop from De Gea kept Alexander-Arnold from scoring a sixth.

Late in the game, Andrew Robertson’s stop sent the ball crashing against the crossbar, preventing Edinson Cavani from hitting the back of the net, and there were inevitable more boos at the final whistle to close an utterly one-sided affair.
