Manchester City extend their lead in the title race thanks to Raheem Sterling’s controversial penalty.
Manchester City extended their unbeaten run to six games with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Wolves, courtesy of a Raheem Sterling penalty.
Wolves were causing the champions problems until Raul Jimenez’s two yellow cards in as many minutes reduced them to ten men in the first half.
City dominated possession but failed to create a clear-cut opportunity until Bernardo Silva’s cross collided with Joao Moutinho, resulting in a penalty.
Although the ball appeared to make touch with Moutinho’s armpit, VAR confirmed referee Jon Moss’ ruling, and Sterling rolled home his 100th Premier League goal.
