Marcus Rashford has elected to stay at Manchester United over the international break, according to the club’s official website. He was one of three United players named to Gareth Southgate’s squad for the upcoming matches against Albania and San Marino.

Rashford is expected to remain at the club in order to assess his fitness after returning from an injury that necessitated surgery. Since his return to the team, he has been one of United’s better players.

When he came on as a substitute in the 4-2 loss to Leicester City, he scored his first goal of the season. The 24-year-old went on to score in the Champions League against Atalanta at Old Trafford before scoring against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

He came on as a substitute in the encounter against Manchester City, but he was unable to have the same impact as he had in the previous games.
