Cristiano Ronaldo was nominated along with Marcus Rashford and David De Gea for the Manchester United Player of the Month award for October.

Despite scoring fewer goals than Marcus Rashford, the Portuguese international managed to beat the 24-year-old winger to win the accolade with 57%t of the total votes.

In October, Ronaldo was on fire, scoring two goals and providing an assist in four games across all competitions. After scoring a hat-trick against Luxembourg during the international break, he went scoreless against Leicester City before scoring a key goal against Atalanta in a Champions League group stage match at Old Trafford.

After that, he lasted a game without scoring before netting the game’s first goal against Tottenham Hotspur, where he also gave an assist.

In the second round of the Champions League, Manchester United will face Atalanta away from home tonight, and Ronaldo is expected to start.
