Solskjaer reacts to the 0-5 humiliation by Liverpool at Old Trafford.
“It’s the darkest day I’ve had leading this club,” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits in the post-match conference after the humiliation he received from Jurgen Klopp’s side at Old Trafford that ended in a five-goal margin against the red devils.
He went on to say that he still has not given up on the team and has come to fat to give up now. Many fans at Old Trafford have admitted that they respect Solskjaer as a player but will no longer stick by him.
Numerous reports are confirming that this could be as bad as it gets for Solskjær. BBC journalist Simon Stone admits that the Norwegian’s job could genuinely be at risk.
But Solskjaer remains confident, and when he was asked if he is the right man for the Manchester United job, he said: “I have come too far, we have come too far as a group, and we are too close to give up now.”
United currently sits at 7th in the league table on 14 points, level with Arsenal and 8 points away from the top of the table, with their next game being against Tottenham Hotspur away from home on 30th of the month.
