West Ham beat Manchester City on Penalties to end their 4 years Hold on the cup.

On Wednesday, West Ham ended Man city’s 4 years hold on the League cup as they triumphed in the penalty shootout.

City’s record run in the competition came to an end at the London Stadium as the Hammers emerged 5-3 winners from a penalty shootout after both sides were guilty of being wasteful in a 0-0 draw. Phil Foden was the only city man to miss from the spot as Mark Noble, Jarrod Bowen, Craig Dawson, Aaron Cresswell, and Said Benrahma all found the net for David Moyes’ men.

During the interview, the citizen boss said, “Nothing is eternal, we fought a lot to win and win and win this competition”. “Four times in a row is a fantastic achievement and next season we come back to try and win it again.”

Nathan Ake, Raheem Sterling were all guilty of wasting chances as they failed to continue their 21 unbeaten run in the competition. Pep threw in Jack Grealish and Foden later in the second half and tried to secure a win but all to no avail.

Liverpool, Tottenham, and Leicester city all secured their place in the Quarterfinals of the competition and will be looking forward to winning the competition as the current holders and favorites are out.
