On the back of a defeat to Leicester City away from home last weekend, Manchester United welcome Liverpool under the Old Trafford floodlights in a blockbuster clash that would see the hosts move a point behind the Merseyside team with a win.
Liverpool head into the clash, second on the Premier League table one point behind strong contenders Chelsea. And they are sure to be confident on the back of a 5-0 trashing of Watford and a 3-2 win over Spanish giants, Atletico Madrid.
Manchester United: Who is not available?
Raphael Varane is a long term absentee. He has been ruled out for a few more weeks since limping off during the Nations League final with a groin injury. Fred and Marcus Rashford have both picked up knocks in United’s comeback win against Atalanta. Rashford was pictured with the team last night while Fred will reportedly travel alone due to restrictions.
Liverpool: Who is not available?
Harvey Elliott and Curtis James were absent in the midweek clash against Atletico Madrid. Curtis is doubtful for the weekend while the former is a long term absentee. Thiago is now back in training after recovering from a calf injury and could make an appearance later today.
The game is set to kick off at 04:30 pm WAT.
