Pogba Feels Manchester United Defeat against Leicester City Was Deserving

Manchester United’s 4-2 defeat against Leicester City, according to Paul Pogba, was merited, and the Red Devils have a long-standing “issue” with performance that must be resolved.

Manchester United DefeatUnited’s English football league record of 29 straight undefeated away games came to an end at the King Power Stadium, as they surrendered four goals in a Premier League match on the road for the first time since April 2019 against Everton.

Youri Tielemans canceled out Mason Greenwood’s stunning opening, and Caglar Soyuncu put Leicester ahead with 12 minutes remaining.

Marcus Rashford leveled on his first season appearance, only for Jamie Vardy to score it 3-2 only 54 seconds later, with the Foxes regaining their lead right from kick-off.

Patson Daka scored in injury time to give Leicester three wins in a row over United in all competitions for the first time in 120 years.

United had four defeats and two victories in their previous seven games this season, putting them in a precarious position ahead of a stretch of games against Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal and Champions League matchups with Atalanta and Villarreal.

Pogba is concerned that unless anything changes, similar results are likely to persist.

“To be honest,” he remarked after the game, “we’ve been having those types of games for a long time, and we haven’t discovered the cause.”

“We need to figure out what’s wrong. To surrender goals, manageable goals, foolish goals, when we know that the games you play on this pitch will be pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed, pushed,

“I believe we need to mature. We need to play with more expertise and arrogance but positively. We must seize the ball and play football.

“Now we have to figure out what the key is to this transition and this game.” We deserved to lose today, in my opinion.

“We have to discover something, and we have to alter something.” I’m not sure whether the attitude of all of us, the players when we first start… we don’t know. It’s annoying because it’s something we don’t understand, and we need to figure it out quickly because if you want to compete and win the title, you have to win those games, even if they’re complicated and we’re playing away.

“You must combat their game; you must discover the appropriate attitude and technique to win those games.” That is my opinion. We have time to think about it, and then we must all work together to solve the problem.”

Midfielder Nemanja Matic confessed that the team felt particularly low, but he vowed that things would change.

“Of course, we are dissatisfied. “Everyone is unhappy, and everyone is a little gloomy right now,” he told MUTV.

“However, we must remain together. It’s time to stay together, analyze this game as quickly as possible, and then prepare for the next round in three or four days against a very talented Atalanta team.

“We are disappointed, but I believe that in the future, we will demonstrate that we are far better than this.”
